Pondering what lies ahead of us
The dealings of our own consciousness
The oneness of mankind unquestioned
Perception defined by one dimension

This evolutionary prowess
Now we must not regress

The thoughts within our minds
Imprisoned, confined
Connection is resigned, Modern social suicide
This evolutionary prowess
A vow to our progress

Strength lies in understanding
Will we ascend to higher lands
Or fail a conquest too demanding
A self-inflicted end

We’ve come a long way to betray
The moral compass we obey
Depression, hate, and jealousy
These diseases plague humanity

This process to comprise
Of a contemplative pride
To not be bound by greed and lies
We must be beings of virtue
Don’t let your sense desert you

This lifetime is finite
Days that pass shall turn to night
Lost in thought of what is lost
The burden of our existence
But like the sun brings daylight
We will breathe new life
